An Encouraging Word

“How do we know the Bible is true?” “Who said it was true?” My son asked me these questions when he was younger. What profound questions these are! As parents, many of us may have asked ourselves the same questions. The exciting answers can be found in God’s Word. In Isaiah 45:19 we read, “I, the Lord, speak the truth. I declare what is right.”

We are living in a world where truth has been distorted, watered down and not absolute. We as Christians know truth is absolute and knowable through the revelation of God. God is truth and reveals Himself through His creation (Psalm 19:1-6), through Scripture (II Timothy 3:15-16) and through His Son, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:1-2). God has given us all the ability to understand His Truth in His Word and because of this, we are required to obey all truth that God has revealed to us. We must teach our children that God declares what is right and because we love Him we want to obey Him. In John 14:23, Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.” One definition of obedience is a willingness to do what I am told with a happy heart.

It is our goal as a staff to give our students a firm foundation on which they can base all knowledge and gain wisdom. When our children have a firm biblical foundation, they will be able to make right and godly decisions.
Praying for you,
Mrs. Huntsman
