An Encouraging Word

Math is a fact of life! No matter what occupation our children decide to pursue, math will be a part of that occupation. It is such a foundational subject that must be learned at an early age and reviewed every year until they graduate from college. Learning math facts is the key to success. Those facts, which if learned, help math homework speed along and if not learned, cause at least two hours of homework a night for a student to see success in learning! Here’s the key to success: Practice those facts every night!
Our family used this schedule from 3rd – 6th grade:
- Monday – addition
Tuesday – subtraction
Wednesday – multiplication
Thursday – division
Friday – take a breather!
There are many online practice games such as Mathletics which can help make it fun! Nightly practice will reinforce the memory of the facts. Want to help your child succeed in math? Practice the facts!
I am praying for you!
Love, Mrs. Huntsman
